 Don Sumner, President of Sumner Properties, has been providing commercial real estate services for clients across the southeast since 1978. Don has been associated with Edens & Avants of Columbia, South Carolina and Max L. Hill Company of Charleston, South Carolina before founding Sumner Properties in 1984. Don holds a Bachelors of Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Georgia. Don’s experience is unsurpassed in the Athens Area.
Bryan Austin, Partner with Sumner Properties, has grown up in the Athens area and in the commercial real estate business. Bryan is a graduate of Athens Academy and holds a BBA from the University of Georgia in Real Estate. His career in real estate began while in college working for his grandfather’s development business, Porterfield Development Co. After Graduation, he went to work at the Dovetail Companies where he managed the leasing of retail, office and flex space developments across the Southeast and Texas. Throughout his career, Bryan has worked on projects such as The Markets at Epps Bridge, Sugarloaf, Anderson and Charlotte, The Terraces Office Park and many others. These projects, among others, have exposed him to a vast array of development concepts and allowed him to become skilled in tenant negotiations and space acquisitions. Bryan’s experience and work ethic enable him to find the perfect space for your needs or effectively lease you property while maximizing your profitability.
